Trust

Psalms that call us to rest in God’s unfailing care.

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”

The beloved shepherd psalm: provision, guidance, comfort, and eternal dwelling.

“Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.”

Trust, delight, and wait; the meek inherit the land.

“Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.”

Psalm 121 is one of the "Songs of Ascents" sung by pilgrims journeying up to Jerusalem.

“Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.”

Psalm 131 is the shortest of the Songs of Ascents and one of the most quietly profound.
